No mystery, no small print surprises. This page explains exactly how every Fair Game competition runs — from the ticket cap to the moment a winner is drawn live on camera.
Every competition has a maximum number of tickets, displayed on the competition page before you enter. When the cap is reached, entries close — we never sell more. Because the cap is fixed and public, your maximum odds are shown before you spend a penny: if a competition is capped at 5,000 tickets and you hold one, your chance is never worse than 1 in 5,000.
The live ticket counter on each competition page shows how many tickets have been sold, so you can see the real state of every draw at any time.
Prizes are awarded in accordance with the laws of chance. Every draw works like this:
Behind the scenes, our platform also uses cryptographically secure random number generation for any system-side draw operations. No one at Fair Game — including us — can influence which ticket wins.
The draw happens on the advertised date regardless of how many tickets were sold. We never extend, postpone, or cancel a draw because of sales, and we never reduce a prize because a competition didn't sell out.
Every competition can be entered free by post — no purchase necessary. Each valid postal entry receives one ticket on exactly the same basis as a paid entry: drawn from the same ticket range, in the same pool, in the same draw, subject to the same per-person maximum, with an identical chance of winning every available prize. The prize allocation system does not differentiate between free and paid entries in any way.

Competitions should be fun — and we've built the platform so it stays that way:
Fair Game is a business — we've never pretended otherwise. Ticket revenue funds the prizes, the running of the platform, and the free postal entries. On top of that, 5% of our net profits go to UK charities, and we publish details of our charitable giving as it happens.
Fair Game operates in line with the DCMS Voluntary Code of Good Practice for Prize Draw Operators — the UK government-backed standard for prize draw businesses covering player protection, transparency, and accountability. The measures on this page (capped tickets, published odds, free entry equivalence, live draws, spending limits, self-exclusion, debit-only payments, and support signposting) are our implementation of that code.
Our competitions include a genuinely free entry route and are therefore lawful free prize draws, not lotteries — conducted in accordance with Schedule 2 of the Gambling Act 2005 in Great Britain and, in Northern Ireland, the Betting, Gaming, Lotteries and Amusements (Northern Ireland) Order 1985 as amended by the Betting, Gaming, Lotteries and Amusements (Amendment) Act (Northern Ireland) 2022, including the free draw conditions in Schedule 15A.
